Commissioned portraiture makes a beautiful gift, or addition to any collection whether it is a formal family piece, a memorial painting, a special moment captured, or an artistic interpretation. Portraits can be done using photographs, but it is the artist’s preference to at least meet the person and sit with them if it is at all possible.  In the case that this is not applicable, photographs are suitable.
